The world of Financial Aid can be overwhelming for students and their families. It is crucial to understand the different types of aid available, how to apply and the best strategies on how to maximize the amount of grants, aid, and any other support to make college more affordable. I will give you tips and strategies on how to complete or update your FAFSA in order to receive the most in Federal Grants that is available to you. Who am I?
My name is Mike Copelin and I’ve been a Financial Aid Advisor for 12 years at 3 different schools (physical campus and 2 online institutions). I’ve helped thousands of students complete the Financial Aid process, but more than that I know what factors determine the amount of Grants and Aid available to students. I’m really good at taking this hard-to-understand information and making it easy. I’ve helped so many students that didn’t qualify for Pell Grant for one reason, or another make the necessary adjustments, to become eligible. There are ways to appeal this process and tips on filling out the FAFSA to increase your chances for receiving the maximum Pell Grant available.
I have a lot of empathy for my students and got to know most of them personally and the number one request for help from them is always the question of, “what Scholarships and Grants are available?” The trouble is that Pell Grant alone will not cover tuition costs by itself in most situations. It does help, but in most cases the student was forced to use student loans to cover the difference. I can help with Grants and other areas, but I give my promise that I will wade through all this scholarship information out there and come up with the ones that are real and you would have a chance to receive. I’ve got some other ideas in this area and will continuously update and upgrade this information in an effort to relieve students of this issue of student loan debt.
My Goal for Financial Aid is Easy.
My ultimate goal is to try to help students be able to pay for their education without accumulating a lot of student loan debt and hopefully without any loan debt. That is a tall order, and it can’t be guaranteed, but what I can guarantee is to help you receive the most available to them in grants, aid, and scholarships based on my 12 years of knowledge in this area. I will help you complete your FAFSA in a way that is most beneficial to you.
